Fallow deer

Fallow deer tribe originate from Asia and is smaller than the Red deer with a shorter nose part. They have quite long tails with a black upper-side and light underneath. There are many colour variants of fallow deer, but the most common is a red/brown summer fur with white dots and a white stomache. At the wintertime the fur is often dark and grey/brown. A hind kan weigh up to 60 kilos and a deer around 100-130 kilos.
The tribe got implanted at Öland in the 1500 century. Today there are big wild tribes in all southern Sweden.
On our ranch we have around 200 fallow deers.
